Trip to the Lake Friday 18 May

Hi everybody!!! We went to the lake last Friday and took photos and videos! We had a whole lot of fun!!!

Hi! Mom says I look very cute in this photo! You can see my purple spotted tongue too. I just love going to the lake! We get to run around...chase Papa........

As you can see in this last video we have so much fun that Madie is too tired to get in the window to sniff on the way back home!

Mad-Cow the Bucking Bronco

Guess what!?! Today my Papa was playing with me and he stuck my cow toy on my head!!! I got it off though but they were laughing and then they took videos of me taking the cow toy off my head!!!!!! I have to admit...it was fun! Here are the videos:

We've been tagged by our Mom to tell seven things about US!

China

1. I don't like playing with toys or balls...it's just silly! I will get something and pick it up and bring it to my Mom or Papa IF they ask me to...I'm a very good girl like that.
2. One time I caught a jack rabbit when me and my friends were chasing them! That was when we lived in California the last time. Mom and Papa didn't let me chase them anymore after that....who knows why it was my proudest moment! I brought it to them to share the fruits of my labor and everything but they told me to drop it and then I never found out what happened to it!
3. I'm a mama's girl, and I stick to my mama like glue...where she goes I go...and if I don't get to go I'm very upset about it...I don't understand why they choose to leave the house with out me there to protect them! If I am not right by my mom guarding her then I am very close nearby and I must be able to get to her at a moments notice! It's my duty you know.
4. When anyone enters my house they must pay the required penalty fee...to pet me a lot...if they do not pay this fee I will continuously huff and puff at them...NO EXCEPTIONS!
5. The only vegetable that I really like raw is tomatoes, and Mom tells me that they technically are a fruit! I love fruit though! But I will eat other veggies if Madie is getting them...she can't have it all to herself that just wouldn't be right!
6. I don't like fake chewies...no rubber, no plastic...icky! I have to have the real thing or it's not worth my chewing!
7. I'm prissy...at least that's what Mom calls it...I don't like to touch wet grass or walk in tall grass...I don't like to go out if it's raining. I have a real aversion to water the only kind I like is what's in my water bowl (or if Madie is getting a bath HAHA)!

Madie

1. I love people! Any people, if I see them I want to meet them! My favorite kind of people is KIDS!!!!!!!!! They are always the most fun of all!
2. I love to tease China! I bow over one of my toys and then I bark at her...I just stay there and do that a few times...really get her staring at me and hunting me....then...I peel out!!!!! And she'll chase me! It's a blast! The best part is I can fit places she can't so I laugh at her from under the ottoman!
3. I love to have fun! I love my toys! I love squeaking my toys! I love tugging! I love chasing Papa! I just plain love to have FUN!
4. I love Food! Any food...if it's edible then I eat it!
5. I love to snuggle and have nap time with my Mom or Papa
6. I always wish I could lick people's teeth...they always smell so yummy...why won't they let me lick their teeth? I always ask them "Hey, hey your teeth smell good...can I lick your teeth?" but they always say no!
7. My name used to be Madison or Maddie but when Mom and Papa adopted me they spell my name differently as Madie and they never call me Madison. My Auntie Joyce is the one who named me, because I used to live with her before my Mom and Papa adopted me. Mom and Papa say they spell it that way because they like to call me Mad-Dog and sometimes they call me Mad-Butt too...they can be so silly!

Kids!!! Kids!!! Kids!!!

GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!! The kids are back!!! Their Mom had to go to the field so they get to stay with us for a few days!!! We even get to wake them up in the mornings! It's SO FUN!

Madie says "I love Alece she jumps around and does cool stuff and can you see I really would like to taste her lolly pop but she didn't let me but I gave it my best shot really jumped high too!"
China says "I like Alece too but Mom gets mad at me if I treat her like Madie and tells me she's not a puppy and can't play with her like I would Madie...I just don't get it she runs like Madie does!"

China says "This one's my favorite, her name is Ashe'a. She pets me and gives me snuggles and scritches and massages too! If you look you can see my happy face all relaxed and stuff."

China says "Here you can see how Alece jumps around and Ashe'a gives me pets! I love it!"

Every Last Crumb!

Guess what!!??! Mom and Papa took us to the dog bakery to get us more food and it was fun and then when Papa filled up our Food Hider he let me lick the crumbs left in the bag!!! Isn't that way cool!?! It was fun going inside the food bag too! And can you believe China didn't want any??!?!!! She's scared of the bag! How silly is that? More for ME!!!

I got your back!

Mom took this photo of us sharing the sun spot. We usually don't sleep together like this but we both love the sun spot and it wasn't very big yet so we had to share. It was nice and warm!
Also we are positioned perfectly to protect from intruders from both directions.

Kid Puppies!!!

Thursday the neighbor kid puppies got to come over and play with us! Their Mom is in the Army and had last minute duty so they got to come over and spend the night! See in this photo Alece is snuggling with us and giving us lots and lots of pets! ~ China & Madie

Here's Alece again snuggling! Everyday I see the neighbor kid puppies come home from school out my little window and I aways wish they would come over and play! Well today they did! I was very happy to see them and I got to play with them and snuggle too! ~ Madie

These are the other 2 kid puppies they are older and have other things they like to do like play games with each other. Their names are Ase'a and Te'an. They play with us too but not as much as Alece! ~ China & Madie

China's Tricks

Hi everyone, back when my Papa was in Kuwait for a year I had Mom make a video of my tricks for him and to show other people there too. We made this video in Dec. 2004. I wanted you all to see it so Mom uploaded it to YouTube and here it is!

Dig, dig, dig!!!

I know how to do all kinds of tricks because my Mom taught me with clicker training. I love to do clicker training, it is very fun! Well a few years ago Mom had taken some video of me doing some tricks and one of the things I know how to do is "Dig"! This video of me digging is my Papa's favorite so I thought I'd share it with you too. Now that me and Madie can put videos on You Tube we'll have Mom take some new ones soon.

Papa's HOME!!!!!!!!

I wanted to show everyone the video of when Papa came home from Kuwait 2 years ago! He came home in May 2005. I was SO HAPPY to see him! He was gone forever! Mom says it was for a year, but I didn't know what happened to my Papa and I was very glad he was home again! I missed him SO much!
What made me think of my video was that my Papa says he "came down on orders again" and he found out today that it's for Kuwait for a year, but he wouldn't be going until January 2008. Papa says that because it is so far out that his orders could get canceled though. ***Update 19 April 07 Papa's orders for Kuwait got canceled and we might get to be stationed in CA again!

Our Walk 1 April 2007

Hey guess what we went to a place called Euchee Creek and went for a walk! We got to sniff all kinds of stuff!

See how pretty it is? Lots of sniffs to sniff!

Here's us on our walk, we asked Mom to take a photo of us.

We kept seeing lizards too! But Mom and Papa wouldn't let us chase them.

We saw some pretty flowers too but we would rather chase the lizards or sniff for wild animals! Mom and Papa kept stopping to take pictures of the flowers. Mom put up photos of the flowers on the garden blog. We really wish we could take photos of the sniffs we smelled but Mom says it doesn't work like that. Too bad.

Now what?!!!

Okay I was trying to get my Mom to play with me and she looked at my face and started laughing again!!! I didn't know what it was and then she started taking pictures again!!! I think something's on my face and I think my new toy put it there!

See my new toy? Mom and Papa brought home Mr. Ribbit who is a frog that makes ribbit noises! I think Mr. Ribbit didn't like me bitting him very much and stuck something on my face!

Hey Guess What!!!

We got a package!!!!!!!

See this is us sniffing the package! We can sniff that it is from our cousin Sky and our Auntie Echo (Auntie Echo has to help Sky cuz we doggies don't have opposable thumbs)

AND look what's inside! A peanut butter jar! Our Auntie Echo knows we always get what's left in the empty peanut butter jars and she left us some extra in the inside too! Sky must have told her to send us the jar since he doesn't care too much to lick out the jars...but we love to!!!!

Mom told us to wait to take a photo before getting our treat...silly Moms...we could care less if we get a photo but no we had to wait!
Then Mom said OK and we grabbed them!

Wow oh wow this was the bestest package ever! We've never gotten a package before and it's really fun! Another big thank you to our cousin Sky and our Auntie Echo!

Suspicious Chicken

I have a bunch of toys, Mom and Papa buy me a new one every now and then because they say I'm good with them. I love them and play with them but I don't destroy them right away. This one is called the Suspicious Chicken and it is very fun to flop around and shake to death. Mom says I look silly running with the chicken cuz it's so big but I think it's way cool. Mom says she doesn't mind getting me that brand of toys because they last me a loooong time and that makes me very happy too. They are the bestest toys ever! Some of them crinkle and ALL of them squeak!
One of my favorite things to do is run around the house squeaking my toys! I just LOVE hearing the squeak! Never get tired of hearing the squeak! Sometimes I'll squeak my toy constantly and run very fast around the house and that makes Mom and Papa laugh! And when they laugh that means they want to play so I take the toy to them and drop it on their feet! Then I tell them okay now tug it, come on tug it, hello, tug it!
Oh and China doesn't care for toys very much I don't know what's wrong with her! AND she doesn't like to tug either! I don't get it because tugging is the best thing ever (that and food)!
China will sometimes take my toys from me it's not because she wants to play with them though. She says that she just wants to preform a minor surgery but I don't believe her! Mom will sometimes find out and save my toy, but there are several severed ears and arms because of China's "surgeries"! She also says Haha I can take your toy from you! That is not very nice! But other than that I love my sister very much and we do have fun together. I guess older sisters get to be bossy sometimes...that's okay because as the little sister I get to bug her when I want too! heeheehee

China Cuteness!

Hi everyone, my Papa took some photos of me because he says I look very cute and Mom says that they are very cute too, so I figured I better share them with you.

They really like my muzzle and they like to grab it and kissle it (kissle is a snuggle with kissie noises) and all kinds of stuff. I don't mind too much because when they do that they pet me more too and I get really happy and wag my tail to let them know I'm glad they think I'm cute.

They also tell me I have a "fuzzie muzzie"! Sometimes so I can get some pets or treats I'll rest my head on their lap and give them "cute eyes" and waggle my tail. Sometimes it works really nice...but they don't like it when I nudge their arm with my nose though.

Okay, now that you think I'm cute YOU can give me some pets or treats too!

Sleepin'

Hi everyone, my Mom saw me sleepin' by my window and took this photo. She said that I looked cute! I love my window and I trained Mom properly to keep the blinds open just enough and the curtain tied up for me to always look out...if she doesn't I'll just find a way to look out the window anyway and I always end up getting tangled then she gets mad at me for the window tangling me! So I taught her to leave it up for me so I don't get tangled anymore. I love to watch the world from my little window, I wish it was a doggie door though and I could go outside whenever I see kids or people outside. Today I got tired so I just took my nap right by my window.

ROAD TRIP!!!

Hey guess what!!??!! We got to go on a road trip! We love to go places in the car, and this time we went on a looooooooong ride and it wasn't as fun cuz we were seat belted...parents they always ruin fun things for "safety"! But we didn't know where we were going!
The first day was ok we were in the car a lot but Mom and Papa took us for a nice walk in the evening and that was very fun! Papa heard a lady say that China was a "Husky" but we don't think she knew what she was talking about since China doesn't look anything like a Husky! See our friends the AO4 are Siberian Huskies so we know what they look like!
See we got to sleep on our very own bed! That doesn't happen everyday! We couldn't believe it, us get to sleep on a bed all to ourselves?! Mom arranged the blankets for us to get comfy, how nice huh?
Then the next day Mom and Papa said we were going to Go...we still didn't know where, but we figured it had to be good since they kept telling us about it.
THE BEACH! We got to go to the BEACH!!! Wow it was fun! We got to play chase with Papa!
I never been to the beach before but I liked it a whole bunch! Lots to sniff and room to run! ~Madie
I've been to a beach before in California but now I've been to the beach in Florida! Mom says it is Hanna Park in Jacksonville! ~China
I showed Madie how to run in the water, neither of us like to get too wet but it sure feels good on the paws! ~China
There was weird bubble stuffs on the beach, it would run and stuff...I would sometimes chase it but it would sometimes get me too. China didn't know what it was either but it looks like the stuff in the bathtub when Mom takes a bath. ~Madie
We even played chase and wrestled!
See I'm running to see what that water that moves around with the bubbles is, China says that it's called waves...I dunno it chased after me a lot and I would run but sometimes it would get me anyway. ~Madie
See I was trying to get away from the bubbles but they gotted me after all, very freaky! After awhile I got cold so Mom and Papa said we better go cuz they don't want me to get sick...whatever I liked the beach...but it was cold after a little bit. ~Madie
THEN they tortured us and washed us under a facet! They said they didn't want us to get ichy but whatever...see Papa's laughing at me! And people saw me like that, and laughed, and it was really embarrassing! ~Madie
Well I was better off because I'm bigger and didn't get as soaked with ocean water so Papa just washed my bottom half...still it's not fun! ~China

Well after that we had more car time and it was a loooooooooong drive back home! We were happy to get back home though! We love the beach and hope to go again! Mom and Papa said they liked Jacksonville cuz it was very dog friendly, hey, maybe we will move there someday...or just vacation!
