All About Madie!!!!!

1. Your age? 2 years old! I just had my birthday party too!
2. Your age when came to live with your people? 5 months old
3. What color is the collar you’re wearing right now? A really cool flower power one that has green with glitter background and hot pink flowers! Mom and Papa thought it fit my personality!
4. Who is your favorite person other than the people you live with? KIDS!!! Any kids!! I LOVE kids!!! I love regular people too but kids are the extra bestest!
5. How much do you weigh? About 14 pounds
6. Most expensive thing you’ve ever chewed up? My toys, but Mom says they are worth it because they last a long time for me.
7. Do you like other Dogs? Sure! Especially if they are friendly dogs.
8. Who is your best non-human Friend? China, I like it when she plays with me, but not when she punks me.
9. Squeaky Toys or Tennis Balls? Squeaky Toys...the squeakier the better!
10. Do you like to be brushed? Nope!!!!!!!! The brush is my Arch-Nemesis!
11. Peanut Butter or Cheese? BOTH please! I get Peanut Butter more often though it's YUMMY!
12. Do your people cut your toenails? Yeah sometimes and I hate it too!
13. Any formal education? Nope just homeschooled!
14. Couch potato or Energizer Bunny? Both I love to sleep but I also love to play!!! I may lay around sleeping but I'm always ready to play at a moments notice!
15. Five nicknames your people call you. Mad-Butt, Mad-Dog, Jaws, Shark Tooth, Bearded Woman, Fluppy, Puppy, Gremlin, Brat, Stink-Butt, Mad-E, Shnoz-Head, Mini Shnoz-Head
16. What is your best trick? Dead Dog...I do that really good and stay on my back for a looooong time!
17. Do you like kitties? I don't know I saw one at the vet the last time and I didn't know what to think of it I stopped in my tracks cuz I'd never seen one before...it was kinda scarey and when I said "hi" to it, the cat said "you better leave me alone or I'll rip you a new one!" I remembered what Ivy said about the cat she stayed with and left it alone.
18. What did you have for breakfast? Kibble same as China the Wellness brand I love it!
19. Can you hunt (aka have you ever killed anything living)? I can hunt, I was made to hunt, and I love to hunt bugs!!! I can catch flies and moths and all kinds of bugs! AND there is a Phantom Bug that appears every now and then it looks like a red dot!!! I love hunting the Phantom Bug!!! I'll have to have Mom and Papa video it sometime!
20. When & why was the last time you went to the V.E.T.? I had to get my shark-tooth removed...Mom says it's just a baby tooth that never fell out but it needed to go so I don't get cavities on the regular tooth. That's when I saw the cat too!
21. Where do you sleep at night? With Mom and Papa, I sometimes sleep in my own bed but Mom and Papa like it when I sleep with them so I do them a favor.
22. Do you like to swim? NO, not really.
23. Can you make puppies? Nopers
24. Do you give kisses? Yeah but I sniff mostly, really what I'd LOVE to do is lick people's teeth but they NEVER let me! Why not, I don't understand?
25. Can you potty on command? Yuppers! That's basic training!
26. To Cuz or not to Cuz? Oooo, I'd sure like to find out if I do, are they really yummy?

About ME!!!!! China!

1. Your age? About 7 almost 8
2. Your age when came to live with your people? About 1 1/2 they don't know my birthday so it's all just a guess.
3. What color is the collar you’re wearing right now? Maroon, Mom says it looks pretty with my fur.
4. Who is your favorite person other than the people you live with? Hmmm...Tanja she used to babysit me and had Alena and Bear who were my bestest doggie friends before we moved.
5. How much do you weigh? Around 34 pounds
6. Most expensive thing you’ve ever chewed up? Mom's Kleenex's straight from the box she uses the kind with lotion and I really wanted to prove my point to her.
7. Do you like other Dogs? Oh yes I love to play with other dogs as long as they aren't too bossy that's when I have issues with them!
8. Who is your best non-human Friend? I guess Madie, she is fun to play with.
9. Squeaky Toys or Tennis Balls? Neiter, I'm not much into toys...I'll occasionally rip up one of Madie's toys just to show her I can

16. What is your best trick? I think it's "Salute" everyone thinks that one's major cool!
17. Do you like kitties? Yeah kinda, Tanja also had a kitty named Ruby and Mom and Papa will tease me and make me think Ruby's in the house somewhere and I look for her...
18. What did you have for breakfast? Kibble...Wellness brand...it's yummy.
19. Can you hunt (aka have you ever killed anything living)? YUPPERS!!! I caught a Jack Rabbit!!!!!!!! I brought my trophy to Mom and Papa and they for some reason didn't like it...and they've never let me chase stuff anymore...sheesh! Although I do get bugs for Mom, I can catch fly's and moths too.

Yummy Bubbles!!!!!!

Mom and Papa bought us some doggie bubbles that are flavored peanut butter and another that's flavored BBQ! China didn't like them at first but once she got a good taste of them she changed her mind! We had so much fun!

Now here's a video of us catching the bubbles! Now watch closely at the end you will see that China punked me and wouldn't let me get the bubbles! Mom and Papa didn't know what was happening until they saw the video! They were wondering why I wasn't catching them as much when I love them the bestest ever! China sometimes punks me like that though she'll give me the evil eyes and then the next instant give Mom or Papa the sweet eyes...it's so not right! Once Mom and Papa knew what was happening they let us play with the bubbles separately so we could both have some.

Madie's 2 Year Birthday Party!!!

Today is my birthday!!!!!! I turned 2 years old!!!!!!!! Mom and Papa gave me a birthday party and invited the kids over for it! They know how much I love the kids so that was part of my birthday present! Take a look at all the fun we had today!
Mom baked me a doggie birthday cake shaped like a bone! It was liver flavored too! You can find the cake mix and tin here! Very Yummy!!!

See Mom set the table very nice! Mom made cupcakes for the kids too...we didn't get to eat any of that but at least we got our very own doggie cake!

See here's the present Mom and Papa got me! Mom said I had to wait until after we eat cake to open it!

See I wanted to eat cake right away...but they wouldn't let me have it till they were done singing some birthday song!

Here's China eating some doggie cake, she says she thought it was yummy too!

I swiped mine off my plate and ran to the other side of the room...I had to make sure China wouldn't steal my cake!

Trip to the Lake Friday 18 May

Hi everybody!!! We went to the lake last Friday and took photos and videos! We had a whole lot of fun!!!

Hi! Mom says I look very cute in this photo! You can see my purple spotted tongue too. I just love going to the lake! We get to run around...chase Papa........

Mad-Cow the Bucking Bronco

Guess what!?! Today my Papa was playing with me and he stuck my cow toy on my head!!! I got it off though but they were laughing and then they took videos of me taking the cow toy off my head!!!!!! I have to admit...it was fun! Here are the videos:

We've Been Tagged!

We've been tagged by our Mom to tell seven things about US!

China

1. I don't like playing with toys or balls...it's just silly! I will get something and pick it up and bring it to my Mom or Papa IF they ask me to...I'm a very good girl like that.
2. One time I caught a jack rabbit when me and my friends were chasing them! That was when we lived in California the last time. Mom and Papa didn't let me chase them anymore after that....who knows why it was my proudest moment! I brought it to them to share the fruits of my labor and everything but they told me to drop it and then I never found out what happened to it!
3. I'm a mama's girl, and I stick to my mama like glue...where she goes I go...and if I don't get to go I'm very upset about it...I don't understand why they choose to leave the house with out me there to protect them! If I am not right by my mom guarding her then I am very close nearby and I must be able to get to her at a moments notice! It's my duty you know.
4. When anyone enters my house they must pay the required penalty fee...to pet me a lot...if they do not pay this fee I will continuously huff and puff at them...NO EXCEPTIONS!
5. The only vegetable that I really like raw is tomatoes, and Mom tells me that they technically are a fruit! I love fruit though! But I will eat other veggies if Madie is getting them...she can't have it all to herself that just wouldn't be right!
6. I don't like fake chewies...no rubber, no plastic...icky! I have to have the real thing or it's not worth my chewing!
7. I'm prissy...at least that's what Mom calls it...I don't like to touch wet grass or walk in tall grass...I don't like to go out if it's raining. I have a real aversion to water the only kind I like is what's in my water bowl (or if Madie is getting a bath HAHA)!

Madie

1. I love people! Any people, if I see them I want to meet them! My favorite kind of people is KIDS!!!!!!!!! They are always the most fun of all!
2. I love to tease China! I bow over one of my toys and then I bark at her...I just stay there and do that a few times...really get her staring at me and hunting me....then...I peel out!!!!! And she'll chase me! It's a blast! The best part is I can fit places she can't so I laugh at her from under the ottoman!
3. I love to have fun! I love my toys! I love squeaking my toys! I love tugging! I love chasing Papa! I just plain love to have FUN!
4. I love Food! Any food...if it's edible then I eat it!
5. I love to snuggle and have nap time with my Mom or Papa
6. I always wish I could lick people's teeth...they always smell so yummy...why won't they let me lick their teeth? I always ask them "Hey, hey your teeth smell good...can I lick your teeth?" but they always say no!
7. My name used to be Madison or Maddie but when Mom and Papa adopted me they spell my name differently as Madie and they never call me Madison. My Auntie Joyce is the one who named me, because I used to live with her before my Mom and Papa adopted me. Mom and Papa say they spell it that way because they like to call me Mad-Dog and sometimes they call me Mad-Butt too...they can be so silly!

I learned this trick a long time ago it's called 'stretch' but lately Mom and Papa have been calling it 'dead dog'!

Kids!!! Kids!!! Kids!!!

GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!! The kids are back!!! Their Mom had to go to the field so they get to stay with us for a few days!!! We even get to wake them up in the mornings! It's SO FUN!

Madie says "I love Alece she jumps around and does cool stuff and can you see I really would like to taste her lolly pop but she didn't let me but I gave it my best shot really jumped high too!"
China says "I like Alece too but Mom gets mad at me if I treat her like Madie and tells me she's not a puppy and can't play with her like I would Madie...I just don't get it she runs like Madie does!"

China says "This one's my favorite, her name is Ashe'a. She pets me and gives me snuggles and scritches and massages too! If you look you can see my happy face all relaxed and stuff."

China says "Here you can see how Alece jumps around and Ashe'a gives me pets! I love it!"

Every Last Crumb!

Guess what!!??! Mom and Papa took us to the dog bakery to get us more food and it was fun and then when Papa filled up our Food Hider he let me lick the crumbs left in the bag!!! Isn't that way cool!?! It was fun going inside the food bag too! And can you believe China didn't want any??!?!!! She's scared of the bag! How silly is that? More for ME!!!

I got your back!

Mom took this photo of us sharing the sun spot. We usually don't sleep together like this but we both love the sun spot and it wasn't very big yet so we had to share. It was nice and warm!
Also we are positioned perfectly to protect from intruders from both directions.

Kid Puppies!!!

Thursday the neighbor kid puppies got to come over and play with us! Their Mom is in the Army and had last minute duty so they got to come over and spend the night! See in this photo Alece is snuggling with us and giving us lots and lots of pets! ~ China & Madie

Here's Alece again snuggling! Everyday I see the neighbor kid puppies come home from school out my little window and I aways wish they would come over and play! Well today they did! I was very happy to see them and I got to play with them and snuggle too! ~ Madie

These are the other 2 kid puppies they are older and have other things they like to do like play games with each other. Their names are Ase'a and Te'an. They play with us too but not as much as Alece! ~ China & Madie

China's Tricks

Hi everyone, back when my Papa was in Kuwait for a year I had Mom make a video of my tricks for him and to show other people there too. We made this video in Dec. 2004. I wanted you all to see it so Mom uploaded it to YouTube and here it is!

Dig, dig, dig!!!

I know how to do all kinds of tricks because my Mom taught me with clicker training. I love to do clicker training, it is very fun! Well a few years ago Mom had taken some video of me doing some tricks and one of the things I know how to do is "Dig"! This video of me digging is my Papa's favorite so I thought I'd share it with you too. Now that me and Madie can put videos on You Tube we'll have Mom take some new ones soon.

Papa's HOME!!!!!!!!

I wanted to show everyone the video of when Papa came home from Kuwait 2 years ago! He came home in May 2005. I was SO HAPPY to see him! He was gone forever! Mom says it was for a year, but I didn't know what happened to my Papa and I was very glad he was home again! I missed him SO much!
What made me think of my video was that my Papa says he "came down on orders again" and he found out today that it's for Kuwait for a year, but he wouldn't be going until January 2008. Papa says that because it is so far out that his orders could get canceled though. ***Update 19 April 07 Papa's orders for Kuwait got canceled and we might get to be stationed in CA again!

Our Walk 1 April 2007

Hey guess what we went to a place called Euchee Creek and went for a walk! We got to sniff all kinds of stuff!

See how pretty it is? Lots of sniffs to sniff!

Here's us on our walk, we asked Mom to take a photo of us.

We kept seeing lizards too! But Mom and Papa wouldn't let us chase them.

We saw some pretty flowers too but we would rather chase the lizards or sniff for wild animals! Mom and Papa kept stopping to take pictures of the flowers. Mom put up photos of the flowers on the garden blog. We really wish we could take photos of the sniffs we smelled but Mom says it doesn't work like that. Too bad.

Now what?!!!

Okay I was trying to get my Mom to play with me and she looked at my face and started laughing again!!! I didn't know what it was and then she started taking pictures again!!! I think something's on my face and I think my new toy put it there!

See my new toy? Mom and Papa brought home Mr. Ribbit who is a frog that makes ribbit noises! I think Mr. Ribbit didn't like me bitting him very much and stuck something on my face!
